EML3041 Computational methods is an undergraduate core course in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of South Florida. The course catalog description is as follows.
This course covers the numerical methods for the following mathematical procedures and topics: Differentiation, Nonlinear Equations, Simultaneous Linear Equations, Interpolation, Regression, Integration, and Ordinary Differential Equations. Calculation of errors and their relationship to the accuracy of the numerical solutions is emphasized throughout the course. Programming in MATLAB will be used to reinforce the fundamentals of the course and to solve intractable/real-life problems.
For students in this course, the following prior knowledge is considered to be essential. The links below include the learning objectives and openly available video lectures.
