Volumetric Flow Rate

So, today we're going to talk about the Q dot, which is the volumetric flow rate. So you can see this is typically expressed as V times A, okay? V is the velocity, A is the area. The units are meter cube per second, or in British gravitational, feet cube per second. Remember though, there's an assumption over here. This assumes that the V is constant, okay? That's called uniform flow. So, if the flow is not uniform, then you have to do this double integral of V times dA, okay? But if it is uniform, then you're good to go with this version of the equation.
